The Montenegrin delegation arrived in Andorra yesterday, where the 31th Games of the Small Countries of Europe will be held from today until May 20st.
The flag of Montenegro will be carried by basketball player Milica Jovanović and swimmer Miloš Milenković at today's opening.
"These are another Small Countries Games for me, I am very proud to carry the flag. These are my last Games, and I will say goodbye to the national team at the European Championships. I am very emotional, happy and excited that all this is happening," said Milica Jovanović.
The national team will use the matches in Andorra as preparation for the European Championship.
"We will use the matches in Andorra as an overture to what awaits us at Eurobasket. We want to prepare properly, see what we need to work on and start the European Championship well," said Jovanović.
Milenković emphasized that he is looking forward to the performance with great ambitions.
"These are my first Games, it is a great honor for me to carry the flag at the opening. I am looking forward to the 28 and 29 meter butterfly races on May 50th and 100th with great excitement and ambition. This is a good test for me before the big competitions - the U23 European Championships and the World Championships in Singapore in July," emphasized Milenković.
In addition to basketball players and swimmers, Montenegro will be represented by the men's rugby 7s team and competitors in athletics, karate, tennis, table tennis, shooting, rhythmic gymnastics and judo.
