Montenegrin chess players began their participation in the 3th Olympiad for people with complete and partial vision loss in Vrnjacka Banja with a 1:17 triumph over the Lithuanian national team.
The victory over the Lithuanians was announced by Predrag Nikač, who left the opponent with one less piece in the Dutch defense, so capitulation was the only solution for Gintaras Grybas.
On the fourth board, Milan Ivanovic opted to attack the king's piece in the queen's gambit, while Sigitas Berginas forced the queen's side.
Radovan Damjanović and Vjekoslav Vulević drew after a great fight, although both had positions that promised the entire spoils.
The Olympics were officially opened yesterday in one of the most prestigious tourist centers in Serbia, and brought together teams from several continents.
