The jubilee, 30th Montenegrin Youth Chess Championship ended today in Cetinje.
Young chess players fought with passion until the last move, seeking a better chance of winning medals, but also the top five places that would bring a place at the European Youth Championship, which will be held in Budva in late October and early November.
As stated, the Montenegrin Chess Federation will provide accommodation at the championship in Budva for the five first-place finishers in each group.

"Girls and boys played together, and the placement was determined subsequently. It is interesting to note that in the under-13 group, the first three places were taken by three girls, while the winner of the under-15 group, Đorđe Žižić, was the most successful competitor of the championship with 8,5 points.
The championship brought together almost 180 young chess players. The organizer of the championship was the Chess Federation, and the general sponsor was the Ministry of Sports and Youth. Friends of the championship were: Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS), Sava Insurance and Zapad Banka," the Chess Federation of Montenegro said.
