The men's rugby team is participating in the European Conference 2 Championship, the Olympic version of rugby 7's, starting tomorrow, which is being held in Pristina.
In addition to Montenegro, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo and Estonia are participating in this competition. The first-place team advances to the higher tier of the competition next year.
The national team consists of Ilija Miranović, Ivan Čolaković, Boris Mijušković, Novica Raonić, Srđan Popović, captain Dušan Vučićević, Noah Shaw, Martin Mijušković, Ilija Glogovac, Vladan Čelebić and Stefan Božović. The national team is coached by Alex Liddell, team manager Luka Grgić and physiotherapist Mašan Popović.
Rugby 7's is the Olympic version of the sport, where teams have seven players on the field, and the game lasts two seven-minute halves. Teams can play multiple games per day.
Montenegro plays its first match on Saturday morning at 10:20 against Slovakia, followed by Estonia at 13:00, San Marino at 15:50 and Kosovo at 18:50.
On Sunday, the Montenegrin "wolves" will play against Slovenia at 10:20, and against BiH at 15:25.
