Belgian cyclist Jasper Filipsen is the winner of today's first stage of the Tour de France, which was ridden through Lille.
He completed the 184,9-kilometer, flat stage in three hours, 53 minutes and 11 seconds. Filipsen won in the sprint finish ahead of Binyam Grimaij of Eritrea.
Norwegian Soren Verenskjod crossed the finish line third.
The next stage, 209,1 kilometers long, will be run tomorrow from Löwen-Planck to Boulogne-sur-Mer.
