Montenegrin swimmer Iskra Dedivanović will compete at the European Paralympic Youth Games (EPYG), which will be held in Istanbul until July 28, the Paralympic Committee announced.
Dedivanović traveled to one of the most important international competitions for young athletes, accompanied by coach Danijela Bulatović.
The Games, which will be held under the slogan Beyond Limits, Together We Rise, brought together more than 650 competitors from 33 countries.
Young athletes will compete in nine different sports, with the largest number of competitors competing in paraswimming.
Dedivanović will compete in the S9 category, and will swim four disciplines - 100-meter freestyle (July 25), a day later he will swim the 100 breaststroke, while the 27 backstroke and 100 butterfly races are scheduled for July 100.
Bulatović said that Dedivanović had been training hard in the previous months and pushing her limits every day.
"We prepared together with dedication, with a clear goal - to give our maximum and represent our club, our city and our country with dignity. Our expectation is not only a good result, but also gaining new experiences, sporting maturity and confirmation of the value of the work and effort we put in every day," said Bulatović.
The opening ceremony of the Games is planned for July 24th.
