Canadian Summer McIntosh (3:56,26 minutes) confirmed the incredible form she has been dominating this season - she won gold at the World Swimming Championships in the 400-meter freestyle.
Behind her at the championship in Singapore, China's Li Bincze (3:58,21) placed, and only bronze went to the most decorated swimmer in history, American Katie Ledecky (3:58,49).
After 21 gold and five silver medals, Ledecky earned her first bronze medal at the world championships.
In the men's 400-meter freestyle final, the fastest was German Lukas Mertens - 3:42,35 minutes, silver-winning Australian Samuel Short was only two hundredths behind, while bronze went to Kim U-Min from South Korea, 25 hundredths behind Mertens.
Australia's women's 4x100m relay team won gold, ahead of the United States and the Netherlands. It was exciting, even though Australia led at every interval.
In the last one, the American took the lead, but Tori Hask lost her strength in the finish, while Olivia Wunsch managed to defend the performance of her colleagues.
In the men's relay, Australia won thanks to Kyle Chalmers in the last inning, while Italy was second. The USA relay team, which led until the penultimate inning, only earned bronze.
