Montenegrin chess player, Predrag Nikač, defeated Romanian Mihai Dima in the second round of the World Individual Championship for people with and without visual impairments in Rzeszów, Poland.
This is the Montenegrin chess player's second triumph at the championship, after he defeated Frenchman Olivier Deville in the opening match yesterday.
Nikač celebrated with the black pieces, in a game in which Svešnjik's variation of the Sicilian Defense was played.
The Montenegrin champion, after the opening, took the initiative and achieved an effective victory.
Nikac, who is defending his silver medal from the Rhodes championship, has been seeded fifth, and will compete for the medal among 65 chess players.
The tournament in Rzeszów is played according to the Swiss system, in nine rounds.
