Nikac recorded his second consecutive draw against the Poles, who were set as the top seed in the championship.
He has three triumphs so far in the competition.
The official world champion achieved the same result.

Both have four points after the fifth round.
Nikac, who is defending his silver medal from the Rhodes championship, is seeded fifth, competing for a medal among 65 chess players.
The tournament in Rzeszów is played according to the Swiss system, in nine rounds.
