Paralympic tennis player Filip Radović will spend part of his preparations for the next season and the main event of this year - the European Championships in Helsingborg - in Osaka, Japan.
He will stay at the prestigious "Iu Jian Xin" academy until September 21st.
"I am very honored to be currently training at the renowned Iu Jian Xin table tennis academy in Osaka, Japan. This is an exceptional opportunity to train in top conditions and improve my skills by working with the best coaches and sparring partners. I believe that this experience will help me take my game to a higher level and prepare for the upcoming competitions," said Radović.
After the summer break, Radović began fitness and table tennis training in mid-July at Crvena zvezda, the club whose jersey he will wear next season.
From July 27 to August 5, he was in Pirot for joint preparations with the Serbian and Bahraini national teams.
The Helsingborg Championship is scheduled for November 20th to 25th.
It will be Radović's return to the Swedish port, after he played in the singles final in 2019 and led the Montenegrin national team to its first and so far only team medal.
Radović will play for his fifth individual European medal in Helsingborg.
In addition to the last two silver medals in Helsingborg and Sheffield 2023, he won bronze medals in Vejle, Denmark in 2015 and Laško in 2017.
He also has a team bronze from Helsingborg, with Luka Bakić and Dejan Bašanović, and is the holder of two Paralympic medals, bronze from Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024.
