Late in her career and at the age of 33, Marija Vuković achieved her best result at the World Athletics Championships on Thursday.
She reached the high jump final for the first time, after finishing the competition in the qualifications in her previous five appearances.
She reached the final in Tokyo with the best jump of the year - 192 centimeters, and a new challenge awaits her on Sunday.
And before the final, which is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., he says he just wants to enjoy himself.
"Honestly, I have no expectations. The most important thing for me is to be myself and enjoy every moment. I don't want to burden myself. Whatever happens, I'll be happy," said Marija.
He is not, however, without ambition.
"Maybe I can achieve another result this season, it would be nice. Last year I had surgery and practically the whole season was ruined. It was very difficult to come back. But this year, together with my coach, I found the right path. I think I enjoy competitions more than ever now. The only thing is that there is a little more pressure and expectations to get to the final, but everything seems to be working as it should," said Marija Vuković.
