Montenegrin high jump record holder Marija Vuković will compete today in the final of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Vuković reached her first world final with a jump of 192 centimeters. She cleared the bar at that height on her third attempt.
She previously cleared heights of 183 and 188 centimeters on her first attempt.
Twelve athletes, out of 36 who competed in the qualifiers, made it to the finals. The high jump final is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. local time.
Vuković is the only representative of Montenegro at the World Championships, and she traveled to Tokyo with coach Dimitrios Vasilikos.
