The Montenegrin judo team finished its performance at the Balkan Championship in the senior pioneers competition in Budva with three gold and bronze medals and two silver medals, in fourth place overall.
The Balkan champions were Nikola Čelebić (under 55), Filip Milošević (under 73) and Matija Raičković (over 73 kilograms).
Milorad Tadić (under 50) and Viktor Vidić (under 60) were also finalists, but they had to settle for silver medals.
Bronze medals were won by Petar Čvorović (under 55), Petar Zvicer (under 73) and Damir Bibić (over 73).
In terms of the number of medals won, the most successful were the representatives of Bulgaria with four gold and three bronze medals, ahead of Turkey (3/4/11) and Greece (3/29).
The championship in Budva, the largest so far, brought together more than 400 competitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania and Turkey.
