Red Bull driver Max Verstappen will start from pole position at the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, which starts at 21 p.m. in Austin.
The current world champion achieved a time of 1:32,510 minutes in qualifying on the Austin track.
Second place was taken by McLaren's Lando Norris, 0,291 seconds behind, while Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was third, 0,297 seconds behind.
Fourth was Mercedes driver George Russell, fifth place was taken by Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton, while sixth was McLaren driver Oscar Piastre.
Seventh place was taken by fellow Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli, eighth was Oliver Bermann from the Haas team, while ninth place went to Williams driver Carlos Sainz.
Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso finished qualifying in 10th place.
In the overall standings, Piastre leads with 336 points, Norris is second with 314 points, and Verstappen is third with 281 points.
