The fifth round of the European Youth Chess Championship was played, and our players recorded good results in this round.
Our young players are led by Mihailo Pušara with 3 points. The talented Novljanin, after two early losses, has tied his third victory, and in today's round with white pieces he defeated international master Durak Khan from Turkey.
Agić outplayed Giorgi Oniani from Georgia with the white pieces, so he currently has a 3-point advantage.
Kira Popova and Sofija Milović both have a mediocre performance after 5 rounds. Popova defeated Savina Anemogiani from Greece, while Milović drew with Alin Ndreko from Albania.
Đorđe Žižić drew with Aron Rajnadu from Estonia with white pieces, making him the only one in the boys' competition with a half-time performance.
The winners in today's round were: Dimitra Andrijašević, Darja Majer, Neda Šljivić, Varvara Ševcova, Andrej Karović, Toman Perić, Petar Popović, Miloš Svrkota and Viktor Vujović.
