Gresini rider Alex Marquez is the winner of the sprint of the Valencia Grand Prix in the Moto GP championship.
Ahead of the final race of the season, tomorrow at 14pm in Valencia, the younger of the Marquez brothers, Alex, has secured second place. The world champion is his brother Marc on a factory Ducati, who ended the season early due to injury.
The Spaniard won the sprint for the third time this season on Gresini. KTM rider Pedro Acosta took second place, over a second behind, and the podium was completed by Fabio di Gianantonio of the VR46 team.
Raul Fernandes on Trekhaus crossed the finish line fourth, and Marko Beceki on Aprilinma fifth.
Beceki secured third place in the overall standings.
