Montenegrin para table tennis player Filip Radović won at the start of the European Championship in Helsingborg.
Radović, who competes in the S 10 category, defeated Spaniard Marlon Lopez 3:1 (10:12, 11:4, 13:11 and 11:6) in the first round of the second group.
The finalist from the last two continental championships outplayed his rival in an uncertain and difficult match, was more composed and experienced in moments when the score was about to drop, and in the end, deservedly celebrated the victory.
The young Spaniard won the first set, while in the third he had a set point, but failed to convert it.
Radović will face another duel today, at 16:50 PM, against Pole Pavel Wlodika.
At the same time, Luka Bakić will play his first match at the championship, against the world leader, Frenchman Mateo Bohas.
Bohas celebrated earlier today against German Mio Wagner 3:0.
Montenegrin table tennis players in Helsingborg are led by coaches Čedomir Damjanović and Dejan Bašanović.
After six years, Helsingborg once again hosted the best pair table tennis players in Europe, with 264 competitors from 37 countries competing for a medal.
