Red Bull driver Max Verstappen won tonight's Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix, closing the gap on overall leader Lando Norris of McLaren to 12 points with one race remaining in the championship.
Verstappen, a four-time consecutive world champion, recorded his 70th career victory at the Lusail track, and his seventh this season.
Second place was taken by McLaren driver Oscar Piastre, and third place went to Williams driver Carlos Sainz.
Norris crossed the finish line fourth, while Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli took fifth place.
Points were also won by George Russell of Mercedes, Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari, Racing Bull driver Liam Lawson, and Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda.
Norris had a chance to win his first Formula 1 title with one race left, and he was supported by legendary English footballer David Beckham, who was watching the race in the McLaren pits.
Norris leads the overall standings with 408 points, Verstappen is second with 396 points, while Piastre is third with 392 points.
The final race in the championship takes place next Sunday in Abu Dhabi.
