Sunday is decision day in Formula 1 - Lando Norris is the favorite to become champion for the first time in his career, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastre also have a chance in Abu Dhabi...
The Briton has 12 points more than Verstappen, 16 more than his McLaren teammate, and he has a clear situation - he will win the cup even if Max celebrates if he finishes the race on the podium.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown has confirmed he is prepared to enforce team orders during the final race to ensure one of his drivers becomes champion.
"We go into the weekend knowing that both have an equal chance, although there is obviously a difference in points. You don't know how qualifying is going to go, but if we go into the race and it becomes pretty clear that one has a chance and the other doesn't, we will do everything we can to win the drivers' championship. It would be crazy not to do that," said Brawn.
McLaren as a team has completely failed in the last two races, so Verstappen, who has been champion for the last four years, surprisingly got the chance to chase a fifth trophy.
"This is a team sport, right? We're trying to win the constructors' title as a team and we're trying to win the drivers' title as a team. I know it sounds a bit strange, but if one of them can't win, the team wants to celebrate the other one. Lando and Oskar are team players and we saw that last year," Brawn pointed out.
Qualifying is on Saturday, and the race is scheduled for Sunday at 14 p.m.
