The international table tennis tournament Podgorica Open, in honor of the Liberation Day of the Capital, will be played on December 20th and 21st in the hall of the Sports and Cultural Center of the University of Montenegro, announced the organizer, the Spin Table Tennis Club.

It is stated that the tournament will also have a memorial character, in memory of the deceased member of the Spin table tennis club Vasilij Pinter.

"This is a traditional tournament that has been gathering the largest number of table tennis players of all ages from Montenegro for more than 15 years, and for the 12th time it has an international character," the organizers said in a statement.

The tournament brings together competitors of all age categories - from the youngest pioneers to veterans - and represents one of the most important sporting events of its kind in Montenegro at the end of the year.

The tournament will be played on 12 tables, in accordance with the rules of the Table Tennis Association and the World Table Tennis Federation, and the results in the younger categories and senior competition will be counted towards the Montenegrin ranking.

The tournament is scheduled to start at nine o'clock.

The organizer of the tournament is STK Spin from Podgorica, with the help of the Secretariat for Sport of the Capital City and the technical support of the Table Tennis Association of Montenegro.

As part of the event, the 12th National Table Tennis Championship for People with Disabilities will be held on Sunday.
