The Winter Olympics in Milan start in 12 days, and Slovenia has great assets - Domen Prevc, after the most prestigious competition, the New Year's Tour "Four Ski Jumps", yesterday also won the title of champion in Ski Flying.

In Oberstdorf, Germany, Domen celebrated in the ski flying event yesterday. He was leading after the first day of competition and two series, and he achieved victory with jumps of (204, 224,5, 232 and 222,5 meters, for which he received 905,4 points.
Norwegian Marius Lindvik finished in second place with jumps of 226,5, 212, 221 and 231,5 meters and a total of 845,9 points.
The podium was completed by Japan's Ren Nikaido with 842,4 points and jumps of 230,5, 224,5, 221,5 and 220 meters.
Austrian Jan Herl finished in fourth place (207, 230, 211,5 and 224), his compatriot Stefan Embacher was fifth (209, 204,5, 212,5 and 227,5), and Japanese Ryoju Kobayashi was sixth (224, 213,5, 224 and 213,5).
Domen Prevc, the world record holder in flying last year, confirmed his absolute dominance of the season in Oberzdorf. On the second day of competition, he further increased his lead over his closest competitors with jumps in the third and fourth series.
In the third series, he performed a memorable flight and practically settled the question of the gold medal. A brilliant jump of 232 meters allowed him to increase his lead before the final series to an almost unattainable 48,5 points.
Despite the lower take-off point, Prevc was as much as 10,5 meters longer than Nikaid and once again confirmed his superiority.
In the final series, Norwegian Marius Lindvik tried to threaten with a jump of 231,5 meters, but that did not faze the Slovenian. Prevc responded with a jump of 222,5 meters with a perfect telemark, thus confirming that he is currently unrivaled in the world of ski flying.
In the end, he had as many as 59,5 points more than second-placed Lindvik, while third-placed Nikaido was a whopping 63 points behind.
Prevc is the third Slovenian to win the individual world ski flying title, after Robert Kranjec, who celebrated in 2012 in Vikersund, and his older brother Petar Prevc, who won gold in 2016 in Kulm.
His sister, Nika Prevc, is dominating women's diving this season, and she holds the record in women's flights.
