Swedish skier Frida Karlsson won the gold medal in the women's skiathlon at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Karlsson achieved the most brilliant medal in the discipline - which counts the combined results of the 10-kilometer classic and freestyle races - in a time of 53 minutes, 45 seconds and 20 hundredths of a second.
The race was marked by poor weather conditions, heavy snow and low temperatures.
The Swede's success was completed by Eba Anderson, who came in second place 51 seconds behind (54:36.2).
The bronze medal went to Norway's Heidi Veng, who crossed the finish line in 55:11.9, one minute and 26,7 seconds behind the winner.
