The 3x3 Montenegro 2k25 season confirmed the strong and continuous growth of 3x3 basketball in Montenegro, but also the stability of the project, which sets higher organizational and competitive standards year after year.
During the summer, tournaments were held in five cities, bringing together more than 200 senior and over 60 children's teams from Montenegro and the region, with thousands of spectators in the stands, as well as a significant TV and online audience.
From the coast to the north of the country, 3x3 Montenegro has once again shown that sport can be a powerful driver of unity, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, and the affirmation of young talents.
Each host city brought an authentic atmosphere, full stands and strong support from the local community, while the growth in the number of registered teams confirmed that interest in 3x3 basketball in Montenegro is growing year after year.
The season was marked by exceptionally high-quality matches, great competition and a high level of organization, but also a clear developmental dimension of the project. Particularly encouraging is the fact that there are a large number of young participants, who through the 3x3 format have the opportunity to gain valuable competitive experience, build self-confidence and establish themselves on the domestic and international scene.
Investing in domestic players and the systemic development of Montenegrin competitors is one of the key pillars of the further growth of this sport.
The grand finale in Podgorica rounded off the season in a true sporting atmosphere, with attractive duels, accompanying content and strong audience support.
Thus, 2k25 further strengthened the position of 3x3 Montenegro as one of the most dynamic and promising sports projects in the country, connecting sports, the business sector and local communities in a common vision of development.
The tournaments were implemented in cooperation with local governments and partners, which further strengthened the connection between sport and the community, but also created a quality environment for the further professionalization of the 3x3 scene in Montenegro.
At the end of the season, the title of the most successful team went to the "Bar 3x3" team, which won three tournaments: in Kolašin, Bar, and the final in Podgorica.
The organization says:
"The 2k25 season was confirmation that 3x3 basketball in Montenegro has stable growth, strong community support and, most importantly, enormous quality in local players. We are especially proud of the number of young participants and Montenegrin competitors who have shown that our scene has the potential for top results and serious placements on the world stage.
We enter 2k26 with a clear goal - to further improve organizational standards, systematically develop local talents, and strengthen the international dimension of Montenegrin 3x3 basketball, because we believe that Montenegrin players have the capacity to be competitive at the highest level."
