Norwegian competitor Maren Kirkajde won the gold medal in the biathlon sprint today at the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina.
She covered the 7,5-kilometer section in 20:40,8 minutes. The silver medal was won by France's Ocean Michelon, 3,8 seconds behind, and the bronze medal went to her compatriot Lou Jeanmono, who was 23,7 seconds behind the winner.
Fourth place was taken by Bulgarian Milena Todorova, and fifth by Italian Lisa Vitoci.
