Japanese figure skaters Miura Riku and Ruichi Kihara won the gold medal in the pairs competition at the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina last night.
The two-time world champions were fifth after the short program, but they performed the free program without a mistake and thus made up for the deficit.
They won 158,13 points and ultimately a total of 231,24 points, which is their best result in their career.
The silver medal was won by Anastasija Metelkina and Luka Berulava from Georgia with 221,75 points.
