Parasnowboarder Andrej Šibalić will represent Montenegro at the Paralympic Games in Milan and Cortina, the Paralympic Committee announced.
It is stated that the bipartite commission of the World Ski Association responded positively to the request of the Paralympic Committee and granted Šibalić a special invitation.
With Šibalić's participation, the Montenegrin Paralympic movement turned a new page in the history of sports for people with disabilities.
"We are proud of the historic moment of the Paralympic movement in Montenegro. I am glad that we are part of the new Paralympic family in winter sports. This is the result of many years of successful cooperation between the Paralympic Committee and the Montenegrin Ski Federation," said the head of the mission at the Games, Miloš Ranitović.
Šibalić will compete in the banked slalom discipline, in the LL2 category, in his debut appearance at the Games.

The games in Milan and Cortina are scheduled for March 6th to 15th.
