Representatives of the European Judo Union (EJU) during their visit to Podgorica were introduced to the activities preceding the European Junior Championships and were convinced that Montenegro would be an excellent host and organizer, the Judo Federation announced.
The European Junior Championships will be held from September 3rd to 6th this year at the Verde Hall.
Urška Zolnir Jugovar and Tibor Janiti were present at the first official EJU inspection prior to the organization of the competition.
"During the visit, plans were made to ensure the best possible use of the hall and supporting facilities for this magnificent event," the statement said.
The EJU representatives were hosted by the President of the Judo Federation Jovica Rečević, Vice President Marinko Jovović, the Presidents of the Medical Commission Suad Šabanović, the Gender Equality Commission Sanja Laković Bigović and the Professional Coaching Commission - Ilija Vukotić, as well as representatives of hotels and sports facilities who visited the official hotels, sports hall and supporting facilities.
"EJU representatives were informed about the activities preceding the championship and were convinced that Montenegro will be an excellent host and organizer of the European Junior Championship - Podgorica 2026," the statement said.
