More than 156.000 euros for Pljevlja sports

During this year, the Pljevlja Coal Mine allocated more than 156.000 euros for the development of sports in Pljevlja, "which once again confirmed this company's social responsibility and strong commitment to continuously investing in the local community and its future."

As stated in the statement of the largest Pljevlja company, sponsorship agreements with the executive director of Rudnik, Nemanja Laković, were signed by representatives of 15 Pljevlja sports clubs: ŠK "Elementary and secondary schools", FK "Rudar", ŠK "Rudar", Athletic club "Rudar", KK "Pljevlja", RK "Pljevlja 01", KK "Potoci", KK "Rudar", OK "Rudar", Kick boxing club "Pljevlja", AMSK "AP Sport", KK "Ris", FK "Breznica", OK "Pljevlja" and RK "Rudar".

"Behind RUP is a year full of challenges, marked by the implementation of one of the most important projects for the stability of the Montenegrin power system. Despite the complex circumstances, the company remained consistent with its mission to be a reliable partner to the local community. At the meeting with representatives of sports teams, the importance of continuous support for clubs that work with younger categories was particularly emphasized. The strength of a city is not only reflected in its industry, but above all in young people who build character, discipline and team spirit through sports. For this reason, we consider investing in sports to be an investment in the health and future of Pljevlja. This meeting once again confirmed the diversity and quality of sports life in Pljevlja, as well as the importance of joint action by all stakeholders in order to create better conditions for the development of sports," Laković emphasized.

RUP says that the company will continue to build strong relationships with sports teams, based on trust, mutual respect, and shared goals.

"Let this moment be another step towards a healthier, stronger and more successful sports environment and a reminder that together we can do more," added Laković.

Representatives of the sports clubs, as added in the statement, thanked the company for its continued support and expressed their expectation that this cooperation will continue in the future, to mutual satisfaction and for the benefit of the entire community.

"As the youngest club in the municipality of Pljevlja, we are extremely satisfied with the funds received. On this occasion, I would like to thank the company Rudnik uglja AD Pljevlja for its support and investment in Pljevlja sports. We hope that in the near future our club, like other clubs, will justify the trust shown, that is, the funds that are allocated for sports from year to year," said the sports director of OK "Pljevlja" Zoran Šćepanović.

The importance of support was also emphasized by the coach of BC "Ris" Tanja Aranitović.

"Like every year, the company Rudnik uglja AD Pljevlja, led by Executive Director Nemanja Laković, is coming forward to meet our club and provide us with significant financial assistance. This donation is of great importance to us and I can freely say that in the last few years we have had a stable and secure financial partner," concluded Aranitović.
