Montenegrin para-swimmer Iskra Dedivanović finished tenth in the junior competition in the 50-meter freestyle on the last competition day of the World Series meeting in Berlin.
She finished the race in 34.78 seconds, which is close to her personal best (34.55).
She was 43rd overall.
Earlier today, she also swam the 100m backstroke in a time of one minute, 29 seconds and 37 hundredths of a second, which was slower than her best result.
She took 14th place in the junior competition, while she was 41st in the overall standings.
In Berlin, she swam both the 100-meter freestyle and the dolphin.
In the 100-meter freestyle, she improved her personal record and finished the race in one minute, 17 seconds and seven hundredths of a second.
That's one and 45 hundredths of a second faster than her previous best result.
She took 12th place in the junior competition, while she was 61st in the overall standings.
In the morning qualifications of the 100-meter discipline, she achieved a result of one minute, 31 seconds and 14 hundredths, which earned her a place in the junior final as the eighth-placed competitor.
She swam an even better time in the evening final, but was disqualified after the race due to a technical error.
Coach Daniljela Bulatović said that the competition in Berlin was very demanding, both because of the strong competition and the schedule of performances.
"Although the result in the 100m backstroke was not up to our expectations, I am satisfied with the way Iskra performed throughout the competition. I am especially pleased with the new personal best in the 100m freestyle, as well as the very good swimming in the 50m freestyle. The final in the 100m butterfly and the time she achieved there showed that the form exists and that we can be satisfied with the direction we are going," said Bulatović.
She emphasized that the competition in Berlin brought them valuable experience and clear guidelines for the upcoming period of work.
Dedivanović will perform at the Sarajevo Open on May 23rd and 24th.
