The chess players of Elektroprivreda from Nikšić managed to defend the Premier League trophy.
They defeated Buducnost in the final round, in a head-to-head match, to win their third consecutive title, and their fifth in the last six years. The victory was won by: the world youth champion, Indian grandmaster Pranav, and Montenegrin national team player Nikita Petrov.
Pranav took advantage of the opening move in the duel with Ivan Čeparinov, after punishing his opponent's risky piece sacrifice with precise play. Dragiša Blagojević sacrificed quality in the duel with Nikita Petrov, however Petrov found a precise defense and in an effective counterattack came to victory.
The remaining four duels in the match ended in draws, so the championship trophy remains in Nikšić.
The winning team, captained by Igor Mijanović, featured: grandmasters Pranav, Denis Kadrić, Nikita Petrov, Luka Drašković and Boban Bogosavljević, and fide masters: Jovan Milović, Božidar Kisić and Oleg Jaksin.
The following played for Buducnost: Ivan Čeparinov, Robert Markuš, Nikola Đukić, Dragiša Blagojević, Blažo Kalezić, Miloš Pečurica, Vladimir Pajković and Veljko Šćekić.
Mimoza from Tivat won the bronze medal with a 5-1 victory in the last round against Nikšić, thanks to the higher number of points won.
The following players played for the Tivat team: Nikola Sedlak, Andrej Šuković, Miloš Stanković, Milan Draško, Miloš Vlatković, Veljko Draganić, Dušan Lekić and Dragan Popadić.
Montenegrins defeated Omladinac Buducnost 4,5-1,5, who were relegated from the Premier League with that defeat. In the direct duel for survival, Zeta, thanks to victories by Igor Vujacic, Ilija Milovic and Mert Atakan Bicer, defeated Mladost, who are moving to the second league, while Zeta retained their Premier League status.
In the remaining match, Dama defeated Herceg Novi 3,5-2,5.

Rokada and Rumija new Premier League players
The chess players of Rokada from Bijelo Polje, with a victory in the last round against Diagonal 3,5-2,5, confirmed first place in the First League and qualified for the Premier League.
The colors of Rokada were defended by: Goran and Zoran Arsović, Milinko Rabrenović, Nenad Šćekić, Zoran Lazarević, Miodrag Knežević and Jasmin Mehović.
By winning the head-to-head match against Zora, Rumija came in second place and also earned an express return to the Premier League. Rumija was represented by: Nenad Ristić, Goran N. Todorović, Davor Drašković, Nikola Vraneš, Rodoljub Pikula, Nenad Aleksić, Ismet Mustafić, Pavle Lekić and Saša Kovačević.
Zora won third place with the following members: Okan Oskalioglu, Predrag Nikač, Vjekoslav Vulević, Darko Šuković, Milojko Kandić and Radovan Damjanović.
Gambit from Berane and Plavsko Jezera were relegated from the First League.

This marked the end of the league competitions of the Chess Federation of Montenegro, which gathered almost 400 chess players in Petrovac over the past 9 days. The awards were presented to the best by the Vice President of the Chess Federation of Montenegro, Vanja Drašković.
The sponsor was the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and the Budva Riviera Hotel Group was a great host of another chess event.
