Montenegrin Paralympian Luka Bakić will participate in the international table tennis Elite tournament in Laško, Slovenia, starting Monday.
Bakić will compete for a medal in the S10 category, and is in Laško accompanied by coach Čedomir Damjanović.
The tournament in Laško is one of the strongest and will bring together 230 table tennis players from 36 countries around the world. Nine table tennis players have registered in the S10 category.
Bakić will play in the first group against Chilean Manuel Echaveguren and the finalist of the Paralympic Games in Paris, Chinese Lian Hao.
The duel with Echavegurin is scheduled for tomorrow at 4:20 PM, while he will meet the Chinese table tennis player on Tuesday at 9 AM.
Bakić had a good prelude to his appearance at the Elite tournament at the Challenger in Laško, where he won bronze in singles and doubles, paired with Born Zohil from Croatia. At the end of April, he was a finalist at the tournament in Podgorica.
The most decorated Montenegrin table tennis player, Filip Radović, ranked first in the world, will miss the Elite tournament in Laško due to club commitments.
