Marek Pokvap, the world's number one tekkball player, confirmed his dominance by winning the singles final of the Adriatic League in Herceg Novi over Bogdan Marojević, with a score of 2:0 (12:3, 12:9).
In the doubles competition, the Teq Liman team, consisting of Nikola Mitro and Bogdan Marojević, celebrated after winning the final against the duo Marek Pokvap/Bartek Francuk.
"I am satisfied with the overall performance and the atmosphere at the tournament. In the singles final, nuances were decisive, especially after a very high-quality second set, but we managed to respond in the right way in the doubles and win another major title against extremely strong opponents," said four-time world doubles champion Bogdan Marojević.
His teammate, world number two Nikola Mitro, expressed his satisfaction with the continued successful results:
"We are happy about another tournament win in a very strong competition. Matches like this and the level of the tournament are an additional motivation to continue working and remain at the top of world Tekbol. We are ready to wait for the next challenges that await us during the season."
After the successful opening of the season in Herceg Novi, the next Adriatic Teqball League tournament will be held on June 13th in Ohrid, where a new gathering of the best regional and world Teqball players is expected.
And the Herceg Novi Municipality, along with the Tekbol Federation of Montenegro, the Tourist Organization of that city and SC Igalo, were the perfect hosts. This was confirmed by the performance of the best in the world.
On the eve of the tournament, the Teqball Federation of Montenegro organized the promotion of the sport and donated a teqball table to the "Ilija Kišić" Elementary School, with the aim of promoting the sport among young people and creating better conditions for the development of new generations of athletes.
