Three Montenegrin competitors will compete in Pula

The Montenegrin para-athlete team will compete on Saturday and Sunday at the traditional, 28th international sanctioned meeting "Croatia Open" in Pula.

Montenegrin athletics will be represented by bronze medalists from the last European Championships Maja Rajković (F54, throws from a specialized chair), Igor Minevski F34 (throws from a specialized chair) and Vlado Terić F40 (short stature).

At the Veruda Stadium, tomorrow, on the first day of competition, Rajković and Minevski will compete in the javelin throw and Terić (14 p.m.) in the discus throw.

Terić and Minevski will throw the shot put on Sunday. The Montenegrin athletes will be led by coaches Veljko Čegar and Igor Tomić.

The Croatian Open Championships will bring together 116 athletes from ten European countries - Croatia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia and Slovakia.

The participation of representatives of 17 clubs, members of the Croatian Paraathletics Federation, has also been announced, and their results will be counted towards the final placement in the Croatian Paraathletics League 2026.

The organizers of the meeting are the Croatian Paraathletic Federation and the Spektar Paraathletic Club from Pula, a club that will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.

Saturday's competition will begin at 2 p.m., while on Sunday, athletes will take to the competition grounds at 9:30 a.m.
