Ducati rider Marc Marquez will start from pole position in the upcoming MotoGP Hungarian Grand Prix, having been fastest in today's qualifying session.
Marquez crashed out of the track during qualifying but was still fastest with a time of 1:36,785 minutes. He underwent shoulder surgery less than a month ago, but despite that he returned to the Balaton circuit in good shape.
KTM rider Pedro Acosta will start in second place, who was 0,053 seconds slower.
Gresini driver Fermin Aldeger was third in qualifying, 0,340 seconds behind.
VR46 rider Fabio Gianantonio took fourth place, Ducati's Francesco Bagnaja was fifth, and overall leader Marko Beceki of Aprilia was sixth.
A sprint race will be held on the Balaton track from 15 p.m., and the Hungarian Grand Prix is scheduled for Sunday at 14 p.m.
