Minevski and Terić win silver in Pula

The Montenegrin para-athlete team finished its performance at the 28th international sanctioned meeting Croatia Open in Pula with three medals, two silver and one bronze.

Silver medals were won by Igor Minevski in the javelin throw and Vlado Terić in the shot put, who improved his personal record twice during the competition.

Minevski can also boast a bronze medal in the shot put.

He came in second place in the javelin throw, in the combined categories F33 and 34 (throws from a specialized chair), with a throw of 18,90 meters, which is worth 308 points according to the World Para Athletics Federation tables.

In the shot put, he earned a place on the podium with a score of 8,81 meters, which is worth 581 points.

Terić won the silver medal in the shot put, in the combined categories F 36, 37, 38 and 40, with a throw of 7,24 meters and a new personal record.

That result is worth 272 points according to the tables.

In the discus throw, he was fifth with a score of 18,88 meters, which is worth 286 points.

Bronze medalist from the last European Championship Maja Rajković finished in fourth place in the combined categories F 33, 34, 54, 55 and 56 javelin throw competition with a result of 12,35 meters, which is worth 488 points according to the tables.

Montenegrin athletes in Pula were led by coaches Veljko Čegar and Igor Tomić.

The Croatian Open Championship brought together 116 athletes from ten European countries, and was organized by the Croatian Paraathletes Federation and the Spektar Paraathletes Club from Pula.
