Promising athletes from Podgorica from the four most popular team sports will travel to the traditional sports camp on Sunday, which will be held on Kopaonik from June 14 to 21, the Capital City's Sports Secretariat announced.

Football, basketball, handball and volleyball will have their representatives at the camp.

This will be the 20th anniversary edition of this event, which is being implemented by the Secretariat for Sports with the aim of providing support to young athletes and their further development.

65 boys and girls from Podgorica, nominated by clubs and sports associations, are traveling to the camp.

It was announced that during the seven-day stay, they will have the opportunity to improve their sports skills, gain new knowledge and experience, and also develop friendships and team spirit.

"By organizing a camp with a two-decade tradition, we continue to invest in children and sports, creating conditions for their quality development, socializing and improvement. We are certain that this year's participants will also have fond memories of their stay on Kopaonik and will represent an additional incentive for future sporting successes," the Secretariat for Sports announced.

All participants will be provided with full board accommodation, as well as all necessary conditions for the implementation of the planned sports activities and training process.

During their stay at the Camp, the children will be cared for by professional trainers and representatives of the Secretariat.

"Experience from previous years shows that the camp has multiple significance for the youngest athletes. In addition to athletic progress, through such programs they develop responsibility, community and a sense of belonging to the city they represent. This is precisely why we continue to support projects that contribute to healthy growth and the affirmation of sporting values," the Secretariat said.
