The best Montenegrin athlete, Marija Vuković, finished third at the 16th Gyulai István Memorial, one of the most prestigious athletics meetings in the World Athletics Golden Continental Series.
She earned a place on the podium with a jump of 198 centimeters, equaling her personal and national record.
She opened the competition at 180 centimeters, and then with confident and very convincing jumps, she cleared 184, 188, and 191 centimeters in succession.
At a height of 194 centimeters, she showed exceptional mental strength and quality, successfully clearing the bar on her third attempt, which left her in contention for the top spot.
Even the next height of 196 centimeters didn't stop her.
Once again, she responded when it was most needed and on her third attempt, she managed to continue the fight for medals.
Then came the best moment of the evening – she flew 198 centimeters on her first attempt and once again equaled the best result of her rich career.
In the finale of the rally, Australians Eleanor Paterson and Nikola Olislagers, along with Marija Vuković, remained in contention for the victory.
Only Paterson was successful at a height of two meters, while the Montenegrin record holder deservedly won third place at one of the strongest athletics meetings this part of the season.
