Tadej Pogačar confirmed yesterday with a victory in a very difficult stage that it will be very difficult to stop him on his way to a fifth Tour de France title. It seems that the path has further opened up for him today on the 15th stage from Champaignol to Plateau de Solazon, although not as surely as the Slovenian wanted.

Namely, his biggest competitor Jonas Vingegor fell in an incident that occurred on a sharp turn 21 kilometers from the end of the stage and was unable to continue.

The two-time Tour de France champion has been forced to withdraw from this year's Tour de France, with the Dane reportedly suffering from a collarbone or shoulder injury.

Pogačar once again showed what an athlete he is, he waited for Vingegora, but when it became clear that Jonas would not be able to finish the race, he had to continue. In agreement with the team, he decided not to attack the stage victory out of respect for the injured Visma ace. Otherwise, today's stage was one of the most difficult with as many as five difficult climbs.

Remko Evenpoulos took the victory in today's stage. The Belgian did not slow down after Vingegore's fall, but Pogačar, together with Isaac del Toro, caught up with him.

At the finish of the stage, the Slovenian tried to push the young Mexican, who also fell in the incident, to victory by leeward. When he realized that he could not follow the sprint, Pogačar routinely followed Evenpool, but did not want to overtake him.

The yellow jersey remains with Pogačar, who currently has a five-minute lead over Evenpul, who is second in the overall standings. Isaac del Toro is currently in third place, five minutes and 58 seconds behind.
