Some of the Montenegrin athletes arrived at the 20th Mediterranean Games

There are two days left until the start of the 20th anniversary Mediterranean Games. The city of Taranto will host this major sporting event.

Montenegro will be represented by 55 athletes in a total of 13 sports. Today, part of the Montenegrin expedition arrived in southern Italy and will be the first to represent our country at this year's Mediterranean Games in the coming days.

Our representatives of padel, taekwondo, boxing, swimming and bocce arrived today at the Mediterranean village, which is located on two cruisers anchored at the "Mar Grande" naval base.

As a reminder, in boxing we are represented by Bojana Gojković (up to 57 kg), Tomislav Đinović (up to 60 kg) and Miloš Roganović (up to 70 kg). In bocce, Montenegro will be represented by Sanela Brkan (precision shot), Ela Stjepčević (speed shot), Ilija Belan (speed shot) and Gracija Stjepčević (precision shot).

When it comes to padel, we have two female and two male competitors - Jelena Matijević, Ivanka Simonović, Đanluka Lamberto Pelonci and Luka Petranović (male, female and mixed doubles). As for taekwondo, we have Anđela Berišaj (over 67 kg), Andrea Berišaj (up to 67 kg) and Enes Dušku (up to 68 kg).

In swimming, Montenegro will be represented by Jovana Kuljača (50 and 100 m freestyle) and Miloš Milenković (50 and 100 m butterfly).

Almost all Montenegrin competitors in the aforementioned sports will make their debut at this year's Mediterranean Games on Saturday, August 22nd.

The rest of the Montenegrin expedition will arrive in the coming days.

The official opening ceremony of the Games is scheduled for August 21st at the modern and renovated Erasmo Giacomo Stadium.
