The Montenegrin U14 rugby team won second place at the prestigious international tournament, which took place in Zenica this weekend. Their age group included nine teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Italy.
The young national team players were in the group with teams from Ljubljana and Split, winning both matches.
As the first in the group, they qualified for the medal match. In the semi-finals, they defeated the team from Sinj, while in the final they lost to the team "Codroipo" from Italy.
"A great performance by our young rugby players, with three big wins and one loss. The Rugby Federation of Montenegro congratulates coach Marko Novaković and his players on their success," the Federation announced.
