From May 12th to 18th, the Montenegro Open was successfully held in Ulcinj - a traditional under-18 tournament from the World Tennis Federation (ITF) calendar, organized by the Tennis Association of Montenegro, TK Nec from Podgorica and TK "Bellevue" from Ulcinj.
The men's title was won by Amar Huseinović from North Macedonia, who defeated Sendor Takacs from Hungary 6:3, 6:4 in the final.
In the women's competition, the title was won by Frenchwoman Jelena Labeau, defeating Russian Alexandra Malova 6:1, 6:4 in the final.
In the men's doubles final, Jo-Džordž Gnjidić of Croatia and Poul Hjorteland of Norway defeated Marko Dragović and Uroš Živković of Serbia 6:0, 6:2. In the women's doubles final, Jelena Labeu and Andrea Olariu defeated Romania's Sara Kozma and Eleonora Toneva of Bulgaria 7:5, 6:1.
This successfully concluded the first tournament on the World Tennis Federation calendar for this calendar year.
Starting Monday, May 19th, we will have the opportunity to follow another tournament from the World Tennis Federation calendar – Podgorica Open, organized by TK "Eminent" from Podgorica. 89 tennis players from 22 countries will participate in this tournament.
