Basketball club Milenijum continues to achieve success on the domestic and international scene! The cadet team of this Podgorica club won the title in the Follow-up League, a competition organized by the Basketball Federation of Montenegro, confirming once again that their basketball school works seriously and systematically.
After an impressive group stage record of 10 wins from as many matches, the Millennium Cadets advanced to the final tournament undefeated, where they authoritatively confirmed their dominance. In the semi-finals, they defeated All Star 77:50, and in the final, they outclassed Morača 91:59.
The brightest star of the tournament was Đorđe Knežević, who excelled in the finals, scoring 41 points. Knežević was deservedly named the MVP and top scorer of the tournament. His talent has already been recognized outside of Montenegro – together with teammates Jovan Blečić and Viktor Tasić, he forms a trio that currently wears the jersey of the junior national teams and attracts the attention of foreign clubs.
This is the third Millennium trophy in 2025, after triumphs at the prestigious IBC tournaments in Belgrade and Vrnjacka Banja. And the ambitions do not end there – on June 13, the club will travel to Bar, where it will participate in another strong international tournament with teams from Italy, Croatia, Serbia and other countries in the region.
Millennium's continued results are no coincidence. The club invests heavily in the development of its younger teams and creating working conditions. In this spirit, a new training hall will soon be opened, which will significantly improve the quality of preparations and provide its teams with even better conditions for progress.
Millenium is not satisfied with current successes – the goal is clear: to be a serious competitor for entry into the Super League from next season and continue to promote young talents.
