Bar was once again the epicenter of sporting spirit and children's joy this summer - the second Barça Academy summer football camp was successfully held from June 26th to 30th, leaving behind unforgettable moments and fulfilling the expectations of all participants, the organizers announced.
On the courts under the Bar sun, boys and girls from Montenegro and abroad gathered, creating a unique community in which talent, discipline, smiles and team spirit intertwined - exactly as the values cherished by FC Barcelona dictate.
"Although five football camps were active in Montenegro at the same time, interest in Barça Camp did not wane. On the contrary, full capacity was maintained, and we are especially pleased that a large number of participants came for the second time - the most beautiful confirmation that what we do makes sense, and the trust of parents is not accidental. The camp was implemented under the official license of FC Barcelona, with the presence of coaches from the famous La Masia, who, together with an exceptional team of local coaches from Montenegro, raised the quality of work to an enviable level. Their dedication, expertise and energy were recognizable in every segment of work with children," the statement reads.
Over five dynamic days, the young footballers had the opportunity to undergo two professional training sessions per day, focusing on technique, tactics, speed, coordination and resourcefulness in the game. In parallel, workshops were held on sports values, fair play, team responsibility and mutual respect – because a true champion grows off the pitch as well.
"An indispensable part of the program were functional and motor tests, which provided additional insights into the development of each individual. The final day was a real football celebration - with a competitive atmosphere, attractive matches and stands filled with parents and friends. In that atmosphere, Andrija Simonović (FK Stari Aerodrom, generation 2014) was declared the best player of the camp, who won an exclusive prize: a seven-day training in the very heart of La Masia in Barcelona - an award that symbolizes effort, behavior and progress."
At the closing ceremony, each child received their diploma, as well as words of support and praise. The coaching team unanimously emphasized that this year's group was exceptional: disciplined, motivated, and eager to learn – values that are at the core of every successful athlete.
"Barça Camp was not just a place to improve football skills – it was a place of friendship, connections, cultural exchange and children's freedom. We believe that stories were born at this camp that will last a lifetime. We owe special thanks to our partners, who strongly supported the idea and enabled the organization to be at a high level, worthy of a brand like FC Barcelona. Their support was key in the realization of every segment of the camp. We would also like to thank all the parents who once again placed their trust in us, as well as our little ones – for every effort, smile, commitment and respect they showed day after day."
Organizers said plans for Barça Camp 2026 are already in the works - with a clear goal: "to raise standards, spread the love of the sport and create memories that will warm the hearts of children long after the camp is over."
"See you next summer - with even more play, friendship and football magic," the statement concluded.
