The Skalina team, consisting of Snežana Milicković, Bogdan Bubanja, Miljan Bubanja and Nikola Kostić, won the fourth edition of the sports and recreational event "PG ping pong - table tennis in your zone!" organized by the Secretariat for Sports and STK Spin.
Eight teams, drawn from the 32 best competitors from 8 qualifying tournaments (the team consisted of three men and three women), met last Saturday in the Verde Hall, instead of in Bemax Park, where due to strong winds there were no conditions for holding the final event.
In two groups, according to the 'round robin' system, teams named after Podgorica landmarks faced off, and the top two teams each advanced to the second phase.
The semi-final matches brought the showdowns between Skalin and Sahat Kula, who won the first with a score of 3:1 (Bubanja M. – Tomović 9:15, Milicković – Vojinović 15:4, Kostić – Bjeletić 15:10, Bubanja B. – Boričić 15:2), and Milenijum and Gorica, which Milenijum won in their favor, also with a score of 3:1 (Mrdak Miloš – Mrdak Mihailo 15:10, Đuričković – Čirković 4:15, Obradović – Martinović 15:4, Tadić – Ivanović 15:14).
In the fight for third place, the Sahat Kule team "solved" Gorica with a score of 3:0 (Vojinović – Ćirković 15:11, Boričić – Ivanović 15:12, Tomović – Mrdak 15:8, Bjeletić – Martinović not played), so its members Anđela Vojinović, Aleksa Boričić, Balša Tomović and Stevica Bjeletić earned a cash prize of 400 euros.
There was no uncertainty in the grand final either, as Skaline dominated, also with a score of 3:0 (Miličković – Đuričković 15:9, Bubanja B. – Tadić 15:0, Bubanja M. – Mrdak 15:3, Kostić – Obradović not played), overcame Milenijum.
The second-place team (Jovana Đuričković, Mihailo Tadić, Miloš Mrdak, Aleksandar Obradović) received a prize of 600 euros.
The winning team, which was presented with a first-place voucher in the amount of 1000 euros by the Secretary of the Secretariat for Sports, Darko Nikčević, received, in addition to the money, a prize dinner at the Stefan restaurant.
"The curtain has fallen on the fourth edition of PG Ping Pong, which confirmed the popularity of this event and the passion that the citizens of Podgorica have for table tennis.
