The Montenegrin student team traveled to Val di Zondo, Italy, where they will participate in the European University Winter Sports Championships in the next five days.
Montenegro will be represented by Anastasija Vukasović and Petar Kasom, who will compete in the giant slalom and slalom disciplines on December 16th and 17th, while they will compete in the team giant slalom on December 18th.
The athletes are staying in Italy with head coach Marina Kosić Radović and coach Pavle Kasom.
Participation in the competition represents another opportunity for student athletes to represent Montenegro on the international stage.
"The performance of our students at the European University Winter Sports Championships is a great success and confirmation that student sports in Montenegro are heading in the right direction. Anastasija Vukasović and Petar Kasom have the opportunity to compete with the best European students on the international stage and present their country and the universities they represent in the best possible way," said Zoran Medenica, President of the Student Sports Association of Montenegro, adding:
"The Student Sports Federation of Montenegro will continue to provide support to young athletes, because we believe that investing in student sports and creating conditions for international competitions are key to their further development and the affirmation of Montenegro in the European sports framework."
