The women's basketball veteran club "Montenegrin" achieved great success at the 5th international tournament held at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo, which brought together more than 500 participants from the region.
In the 45+ women's category, the Montenegrins won second place and a silver medal.
"Although we are dealing with a veteran team, success in such a strong tournament confirms that age is not an obstacle, but an asset. Experience, togetherness and competitive spirit have been translated into a game full of energy, discipline and mutual support. On the court, we have shown that the passion for basketball does not fade, but rather matures, gains depth and confidence," said the Montenegrins.
"This result is also a strong message about the importance of women's sports and active living at all ages. Montenegrins, through their example, affirm sport as a space of strength, solidarity and lasting dedication to themselves and their team," they added.
The following players performed for the Montenegrins: Maja Petričević, Tatjana Radonjić, Snežana-Cica Prelević, Jelena Perovanović, Rada Vujić, Maja Medenica, Lidija Ivanović, Milena Perović, Vesna Vujadinović, Marijana Bošković, Dušica Raićević, Ana Vukčević, Jelena Vuletić, Natalija Jovanović and Jovana Krivokapić.
"The club would like to thank the sponsor Agromont, who supported the Montenegrins by providing tracksuits and thus contributed to the team representing their city and women's sports with dignity and pride," it states at the end.
