The football season ends in "yellow", Stari Aerodrom wins the Montenegrin Cadet Cup on penalties against Buducnost

In the last match of the 2025/2026 season - the final of the Montenegrin Cadet Cup, Stari Aerodrom won a new trophy with a penalty shootout victory over their peers from Buducnost - 8:7 (overtime 3:3, 2:2).

Thus, the cadets of the Old Airport, after winning the final of the UK FSCG - Centa Cup, against the same rival at the "Braće Velašević" stadium in Danilovgrad in April (2:1), ended the season with two trophies.

The Cadets of Buducnost won the championship title, and today they have something to regret - they conceded a goal in extra time in the last attack of the game - Jovan Petrović scored just wide of the right post in the fifth minute of injury time.

Buducnost also had a penalty to win the penalty shootout, but Stari Aerodrom goalkeeper Damjan Janković read the side and saved.

And after a fairly even first half in which the advantage was brought by Edvin Ličina's goal - a great one under the bar in the 44th minute, Buducnost dominated the first 15 minutes of the second half. However, the bar, the goalposts, and the great home goalkeeper saved the players in the "yellow", and then they equalized from the second attack with a careless reaction - Ličina's careless reaction hit his own net in the 68th minute.

The "blue and white" again established dominance, creating chances, and in the 76th minute, Nikola Milačić made a fantastic save at the far post.

Buducnost continued to attack, missed, and retreated before the end of the regular 90 minutes. "The Yellows put pressure on and as a reward, Petrović's goal came.

Again, Buducnost was fierce in the first overtime, missing a lot, the attackers were too solo in great positions, until the 102nd minute when Aleksa Causevic received a great pass and just beat the Old Airport goalkeeper.

And again, Buducnost missed numerous chances, and was punished again - this time with a brilliant goal by Miloš Šekularc from 20 meters under the crossbar of goalkeeper Vasilije Petrović Njegoš for the final 3:3 in the 115th minute.

In the penalty shootout, Buducnost was confident in the first four, Stari Aerodrom was inaccurate in the third, but then the goalkeeper of the team in "yellow" entered the scene.

The new season in domestic competitions will begin on August 2nd, when the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League starts.
