From June 18th to 21st, Podgorica will once again host the Minibasket tournament, an event that has won the hearts of children, parents and all sports fans in the past two years. This year, Minibasket Podgorica brings a recognizable energy: children's smiles, fair play on the court, socializing without borders and the feeling that the city breathes like one big sports playground for a few days.

However, this year's edition raises the bar and takes on a strong international character. In addition to recognizable teams from Montenegro and the region, Podgorica will also host young hopefuls from major European basketball systems – Serbia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey and France.

"We are proud that our tournament is growing year after year and that we continue to host foreign teams this season. The arrival of competitors from European basketball clubs such as Bayern, Virtus, Red Star and FMP, as well as academies from the Netherlands, France and Turkey, gives special weight to the entire event. Our primary goal has never been just the score on the scoreboard. We want to give these children the opportunity to experience the magic of international competition, make new friends and take the most beautiful memories from Podgorica. Through play, we teach them the values of fair play, tolerance and togetherness," said Krsto Vukadinović, tournament organizer and president of the KK Morača club.

During the four-day tournament, the youngest basketball players will have the opportunity to compete with their peers who bring different basketball styles. The audience will have the opportunity to see the combination of the fast and athletic French school, German discipline and recognizable Balkan talent and creativity. At the same time, the citizens of Podgorica and guests can expect a rich accompanying program.

In addition to official matches, organizers are announcing educational workshops, sports fields, shooting competitions, as well as special zones for fans and parents.

Minibasket Podgorica confirms its mission this year - to promote togetherness, tolerance and the joy of play through sport, and to provide children with the opportunity to grow in a healthy and positive environment.

More information about the exact schedule of matches, locations and accompanying activities will be announced in the coming period. Until then – book the dates from June 18th to 21st and be part of the story that grows together with our youngest.
