Kazakhstan's tennis team took a 2:1 lead against Serbia in the match of the first round of the Davis Cup World Group after winning the doubles.
Andrej Golubjev and Aleksandar Nedovjesov defeated Novak Djokovic and Nenad Zimonjic with 6:3, 7:6 (7:3), 7:5 and thus brought the Kazakhs a turnaround.
After the defeat, Djokovic said that it was not the first time that the Serbian team had lost 2:1 and that he believed in a turnaround.
"The Kazakhs got Federer and Wawrinka a couple of years ago, so this is not a surprise. But it's not the first time we've lost 2:1, it was like that in the semi-finals and the final when we won the trophy. We know how to prepare and we have a lot reason to believe in a turnaround," Djokovic said at a press conference.
Djokovic defeated Nedovjesov 3:0 yesterday, while Viktor Troicki lost to Mihail Kukushkin by the same score.
Tomorrow, Djokovic - Kukushkin will meet in the decisive matches, and then Troicki - Nedovjesov.
