Serbian national team members Viktor Trick and Janko Tipsarević qualified for the semi-finals of the ATP tournament in Kuala Lumpur.
Troicki, the second seed of the tournament, beat Russian Dmitri Tursunov 2:0 in sets (6:4, 6:4) in the quarterfinals, and in the semifinals he will meet Cypriot Markos Baghdatis, who was better than Austrian Jürgen Meltzer (6:3 , 7:6).
Tipsarevic qualified for the semi-finals after the Russian Nikolay Davydenko handed him the match in the first set with a score of 3:1, after 22 minutes of play. Tipsarevic's rival in the semifinals will be the Japanese Keiji Nishikori, who eliminated Nikolas Almagro from Spain in the quarterfinals with 2:1, in sets 6:7, 6:4, 6:4.
